He began dancing at ME Technical University Dance Theatre at 1998 and became one of its choreographer-trainers in 2000. He attended  Classic Ballet and Modern Dance classes at Ankara State Opera and Ballet's Modern Dance Company. In 2001, he established "underNine dance and movement project". With the company, he performed in Bodrum Church Eklisia, CULTURA TURKEY '05, Balkan Caravan Meeting- Istanbul, 9th "a sul" Contemporary Dance Festival-Portugal, and 3rd Balkan Dance Platform-Skopje.

“Fatigué” est une série de pièces de théâtre physique qui a été transformée par ses créateurs en plusieurs variations utilisant différents instruments. Le chorégraphe İlyas Odman a collaboré avec le dramaturge Evren Erbatur pour rechercher les limites émotionnelles et physiques de son propre corps dans une série de soli. L’idée d’être "coincé dans une pièce" s'est transformée dans le concept d ‘être "coincé dans son propre corps ". Le corps, mis en scène, cherche les preuves de son existence.

Il a commencé à danser à METU Théâtre de Danse en 1998 et est devenu l'entraîneur chorégraphe en 2000. Dans la même année, il a commencé à suivre les cours de ballet classique et de danse moderne à l’Opéra Public Ankara et à La Compagnie de Danse Moderne du Ballet Turque. En 2001, il a établit « underNine dance and movement project ». Avec cette compagnie il a performé à l’Eglise Eklisia Bodrum, Cultura Turkey’05, à La Réunion Balkanique de Caravan-Istanbul, au 9ème Festival de Danse Contemporaine “a sul” - Portugal, au 3ème  Danse Balkanique Express à Skopje.
