A mad speed and fiery, often self-destructive
scenarios characterise the dance world of the
choreographer Marco Goecke. Although the
movements he comes up with may well be
extremely un-classical, he prefers to work with
soloists from major ballet companies. They demand
enormous athletic dexterity from the dancers.
That also applies to the solo "Äffi", which was
originally staged in June 2005 at the ARDT Dans
Benefit Gala, Arnheim. It was one of the highlights
of the German Dance Platform 2006.
began his ballet training in 1988 and danced with the
Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin and the Theater Hagen Ballet.
In 2002, Marco Goecke was invited by the Choreographic
Institute of New York, an affiliate of New York City Ballet,
to create a work for the "Diamond" Project. That piece,
"Mopey", has since been performed at Jacob´s Pillow
Festival, at the Biennale in Venice and at the Pina Bausch
Festival [sic] in Wuppertal in 2004. Marco Goecke has also
worked in opera, creating a solo for "Die Verkaufte Braut"
for the Staatstheatre Stuttgart Opera in 2003. Also in
2003, he entered the Prix Dom Perignon choreographic
competition in Hamburg, where he was awarded First
Prize for Blushing, a piece for eight dancers. Blushing has
since entered the repertory of Stuttgart Ballet and John
Neumeier's Hamburg Ballet. In 2005 he was appointed
resident choreographer at the Stuttgart Ballet and won
the art prize of the Landesstiftung Baden-Württemberg.
Tadayoshi Kokeguchi
French/Japanese origin, he studied in Sorbonne
University (musicology) and Rudra-Béjart School. He
danced in Béjart Ballet Lausanne and has been with
Scapino Ballet Rotterdam since 2004. He performed
choreographies of Béjart, Graham, Carlson, Linning,
Wubbe, Toivonen, and Goecke.

Tadayoshi Kokeguchi
D'origine Française et Japonaise, Tadayoshi Kokeguchi a
étudié la musicologie à L'Université de la Sorbonne et la
danse à l'Ecole Rudra-Béjart. Il a dansé avec le Béjart
Ballet Lausanne, dans les œuvres de Béjart, Graham,
Carlson, Linning, Wubbe, Toivonen. Il travaille avec
Scapino depuis 2004.
